It seems the National Democratic Congress, NDC, is making some head ways on the Techiman South Parliamentary Seat Election Petition. Ghana Africa News, has decided to update you on the proceedings so far. Find Below:
- On the interrogatories which the respondent failed to comply with the courts earlier Directive, the ECs returning officer in Techiman South Nana Dwamena whose actions caused the death of our supporters has been ordered by the court to answer all the interrogatories as earlier directed in seven days.
These questions include:
whether collation was done before the declaration. If it was done evidence must be produced by the Electoral Commission in Techiman South within 7days.
2. On the inspection of documents, the respondents have same been ordered by the court to make the documents available to the petitioner on Monday 19th April at 2pm at the registrar’s office in Wenchi.
A cost of 2,000 cedis was awarded to the petitioners.
The judge has warned he is not ready to drag the issue but need to finish with a very reasonable time so that the people of Techiman can have a member of parliament without legal chains on his neck.
Court adjourned to 29th April 2021.
