A heavy rainstorm that hit some parts of the upper east region has destroyed a lot of properties in the region including Wiage wabilinsa primary Schoo in the Builsa north municipality.
The strong wind that accompanied the rain that lasted for almost four and half hours ripped-off the roof of the pavilion which was formally served as KG and Nusery before and class one and two in the community
A visit by GhanaAfricaNews reporter Edmond Kwaching Agwaazeh observed that, the class one and two classrooms had their roofs ripped-up and the intire pavilion has been collapsed as well but no human casualty was recorded.
Speaking to GhanaAfricaNews on the incident, the assembly member of the area, Hon Roland Ajiakbadek Apindem appealed to NADMO and other organizations to come to the aid of the school before the rain season.
‘I am appealing to the Municipal Assembly, Member of Parliament Hon James Agalga and other stakeholders to come to the aid of the school before the rain season.
Hon Apindem has also added that the school need to be done before the reopen primary schools .
