According to information reaching Ghana Africa News, President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, has rejected the resignation letter of the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.
Sources to Ghana Africa News revealed that, the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, on the grounds of health conditions submitted his resignation letter to the President.
It could be recalled that, Mr. Ofori-Atta, traveled abroad for medical treatment during the ministerial vetting processes which delayed his turn.
According to sources, the Finance Minister went through liver transplanting process which was successfully completed.
Recent development shows that, Mr. Ofori-Atta has added weight which most Ghanaians have raised concerns about, agitating that the Finance Minister is not feeling well.
Well, many people are saying that, it could be a complication after the liver transplant, therefore, Mr. Ofori-Atta should take a rest and resign.
With these developments, the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, on the basis of his health conditions, submitted his resignation letter, but has been refused.
It is said that powers from above stopped him from putting in his resignation letter.
