The Ghanaian music industry is still morning the death of veteran Highlife singer and composer Nana Ampadu.
The news of his death was announced by some close relatives on Monday morning (September 28, 2021).
Also mourning the statesman is celebrated female background vocalist Nana Ama, as she bids him farewell in a post on Facebook.
Chronicling her past experiences with Nana Ampadu. she wrote, “My beginning as a background vocalist kickstarted with this man.”
“Through Nana, I did the popular Top Radio jingle in 1999. Through him, I met the late Khodjo Acquai, Charles Amoah and Zapp Mallet. Evang. Nana Kwame Ampadu, May Your Soul Rest Well In The Bosom Of The Lord,” Nana Ama recounted.
Rest in eternal peace with the most high Nana Ampadu. Your legacy lives on!
