The Ghana Football Association ( GFA) has announced betPawa as the new title sponsor for the Ghana Premier League.

The ceremony for the official signing of the contract was held yesterday (August 3, 2022) at the headquarters of the FA.
In attendance was the president of the FA, Kurt Okraku as well as Oluwatosin Oluwele Ajibade also known in music circles as Mr Eazi.

The 3 year deal between betPawa and the Ghanaian FA is worth US$ 6million.

US$ 2million will be given to the FA each season for the promotion and management of the Ghana Premier League.

In his statement at the event, Kurt Okraku indicated that all 18 participating teams will receive their share of the sponsorship money from betPawa.
Other issues like bonuses will also be addressed as he mentioned that each player will get theirs in their account after every match day.
An ultra modern astro turf will also be constructed at the Ghanaman Soccer Center in Prampram which will be named betPawa pitch to honour the lead sponsors of the Ghana Premier League.
Part of the money will also be invested into the promotion of the domestic leagues and building of the colt system.
