A National Auxiliary known as FRIENDS OF JOSEPH NYUMA BOAKAI 2023 has said that on Saturday, January 21, 2023 the group will endorse Joseph Nyuma Boakai 2023 presidential bid in Montserrado County, Liberia.
In an interview with Ghana Africa News, National Chairman Amb. Joseph M. Dolo Sr. said that a political party comprises individuals who organize to win elections, operate government, and impact public but unfortunately the George Weah’s government had failed the Liberian people.
According to Amb. Dolo, over the past 5 years, the public, including TEAM JNB 2023, have had the opportunity to observe and evaluate the perspectives and policies of the various candidates in the upcoming 2023 general and presidential elections.
He said Former Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai is honest, pragmatic, and has hopeful insight into Liberia’s problems and needs.
‘With his willingness to examine issues and listen closely to the public’s questions and concerns, desire to aggressively combat corruption and build Liberia country on a stronger foundation, sets him far apart from the rest of the candidates’ expected approaches and talk, henceforth we are gathering on January 21, 2023 to endorse his presidential bid’, he revealed.
According to Amb. Dolo, National Chairman of FRIENDS OF JOSEPH NYUMA BOAKAI 2023, the organizatio’s inception, and its constitution has been non-partisan.
Amb. Dolo noted that, as the official head, he is powerless to endorse a political party or its candidate and on behalf of the governing body of TEAM JNB 2023, they will endorse the 2023 presidential bid of former vice president, His Excellency, Joseph Nyumah Boakai.
In Amb. Dolo interview wth Ghana Africa News, he said Hon. Boakai has made several contributions to Liberia, leading with integrity. According to him, Hon. Boakai has a strong vision for the future of Liberia and plans to build Liberia on a stronger foundation through combating corruption and shutting down irresponsible waste of money and resources.
In one of his interviews, the former vice president, Hon, Boakai stressed that corruption is a cancer and has a disproportionate impact on the poor and the most vulnerable, increasing costs and reducing access to services, including health, education, and justice.
“Corruption undermines the social contract. This is cause for concern among all Liberians, home and abroad, but particularly in contexts of fragility and violence, as corruption fuels and perpetuates the inequalities and discontent that lead to fragility, violent radicalism, and conflict”, he added.
According to Hon, Boakai corruption impedes investment, with consequent effects on growth and jobs.
With this Hon. Joseph Nyumah Boakai has vowed to combat corruption aggressively. Amb. Dolo said as Vice President, Amb. Boakai exemplified honesty, fairness, and impeccable judgment.
“We are pleased to endorse the presidential candidacy of Amb. Joseph Nyumah Boakai, former Vice president and Standard Bearer of the Unity Party, to run for the office of president of Liberia”, he announced.
In a closing remarks, Amb. Dolo calls on all Liberian to join support the JNB Rescue Mission 2023.
