President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has waded Into the bashing of the Black Stars by defending the team for their shambolic performance at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations hosted by Cameroon.
The Black Stars of Ghana were eliminated from the AFCON after loosing 3-2 to Comoros Island in their last group game.
“The players we brought to the AFCON are the best we have,” …the Kamaldeens, Fatawus, and others are our best players.
We must exercise patience and faith in the process. “Calm heads are required during this trying time,” Kurt Okraku said in an interview with Asempa FM.
The pain of exiting the AFCON is still fresh in the minds of many Ghanaians with many calling on the government to intervene in building the national team with local and home grown players.
Meanwhile the Sports Ministry on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022, summoned Kurt Okraku and other top members of the GFA to answer to answer questions about the Stars poor showing at the AFCON.
