The President of Madagascar, H.E Rajoelina, has urged the United Nation, UN, General Assembly to change their negative perception about Africa.
According to President Rajoelina, when we speak of a developing country like Madagascar, it is always the negative and miserable side that is conveyed and highlighted on the international scene.
“When we speak of the African continent, we always tend to darken reality”, he added.
He indicated that, it is time for the perception to change, and the UN must stop conveying these prejudices and go beyond these received ideas.

He explained that, these countries, like Madagascar, have been able to better cope with the impact of Covid-19 and derive positive results from it.
President Rajoelina in addressing the UN General Assembly revealed that, in Madagascar, to recover from this shock wave, they have decided to adopt an optimistic attitude, through the realization of their development vision.
