The Hungarian government has announced that about 100 Scholarships will be given to Ghanaian students who specialize in agriculture.
The Ambassador of Hungary, Mr. Tamás Endre Fehér made this announcement when he called on the 1st Deputy Speaker of Ghana and Member of Parliament, MP, for Bekwai Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu to discuss diplomatic ties between the two countries, spanning over 60 years.

According to information reaching Ghana Africa News, in the meeting held yesterday, 14th October, 2021, the ambassador spoke about Hungary’s support to Ghana’s education sector by awarding scholarships to 50 Ghanaians students since 2017, adding that there are plans to increase the number to 100. He emphasized that special scholarships will be awarded to students who specialize in agriculture.
The 1st Deputy Speaker expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for the visit and assured him of Ghana Parliament’s support and readiness to facilitate the visit of the 1st Deputy Speaker of Hungary.
The 1st Deputy Speaker drew attention to the vast lands in the northern parts of Ghana and called on Hungary to channel some of its sponsorship activities to these areas.

The 1st Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament will visit Ghana from the 20th to the 26th of next month.
