According to Hon. Sam George, who also double as Deputy Ranking Member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Communications, it is very unfortunate that as Ghanaians expect transparency in such a deal due to the economic and financial implications, but has not been provided.
“These calls are borne out of a need for Ghanaians to get an understanding of the transaction and for Parliament to exercise its oversight responsibility”, he demanded.
Hon Sam George assured Ghanaians that, his contribution in the committee will ensure that, proper investigations and inquiry are done, as his position as Deputy Ranking Member, is fortified by the provisions of Article 103(3) of the 1992 Constitution.
