The Member of Parliament MP, for North Tongu, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has donated cash and laptops to best 2020 WASSCE student and a Female Ghana Fire Service.
Information reaching Ghana Africa News, is that Miss Alice Dziwornu is one of only six ladies in a first-year class of 85 pursuing Aerospace Engineering at KNUST.
According to Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa, Miss Dziwornu, is has been appointed as an Engineering Ambassador to promote and demystify the study of STEM amongst girls in North Tongu.
Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa assured her family that she will remain a priority on his scholarship scheme until graduation; and also donated a laptop for her academic work.
Being the best BECE and WASSCE Candidate in her cohort, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa pointed that her inspiring story which would be fully told someday should serve as a motivation to all young ladies with great dreams.
Donation to Ghana Fire Service Officer
As part of the May Day celebration, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa noted that it was both an honor and great inspiration to celebrate Matilda Tsinogo, an officer of the Ghana Fire Service and a beloved constituent of North Tongu.
According to Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa, Matilda Tsinogo is the extraordinarily brave firefighter who made waves last Tuesday when as the only female and leader of an otherwise all-male team, they successfully saved the Mankessim Market from total destruction to the amazement of onlookers.
He said from her commanding post in Mankessim, she is inspiring young girls everywhere and proving that there’s nothing like a man’s job.
“When I placed a congratulatory call to her on Wednesday and she indicated that she will be attending an aunt’s funeral in our holy Aveyime this weekend, I thought I should offer her a modest May Day surprise”, he revealed.
Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa presented her with a laptop, a token amount of GHS3,000.00 and a full scholarship for her daughter in first year at a public university.
