The Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, during the week met experts in the energy sector to discuss the current challenges in the disturbing the Ghana.
As monitored by Ghana Africa News, the meeting which took place on 22nd April, 2021, at the Aqua Safari Resort in Ada, Greater Accra Region, was a four-day Energy Sector Work Programme Retreat for 2021.
The event brought together directors of the Energy Ministry and senior management of the various agencies in the energy sector to discuss their work programmes for the year as well as their key performance indicators.
According to information reaching Ghana Africa News, the first day of the Retreat focused on the power sector with presentations from the generation, transmission and distribution agencies including GRIDCo, VRA, BPA and NEDCo.
To better understand the energy sector, all the agencies discussed their plans for the year and their major challenges.
During the meeting, members brainstormed on probable solutions and made various concessions to better facilitate operations in Ghana and to resolve the energy crisis.
