As talks of the controversial E-levy continues, dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has become the latest person to add his voice to the trending issue.
Since the proposed E-levy bill was sent to Ghana’s parliament by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta last year, majority of Ghanaians have become disgruntled about government’s approach to it.
Pending the approval of the E-levy, there has been several occasions when members of parliament have engaged in physical confrontations leading to embarrassing scenes from the chamber.

According to Shatta Wale in a viral video currently trending online, president Nana Addo and his government should stop acting and if they own the country and be sensitive to the suffering of Ghanaians before trying to introduce any tax which will bring hardships and discomfort.
Many economist have all adviced the government against the E-levy bill which has divided to country since the initial mentioning of it.
The days ahead will tell whether or not the E-levy will be passed but as it remains presumably about 90% of Ghanaians are against the passage of it.
