Ama is a very young and intelligent beautiful lady who is married to a banker in Germany, Berlin. Her husband who was born in Germany by Ghanaian parents admires her intelligence and wisdom even though Ama is a Second Class student from University of Ghana. Edem believes that Ama is a ‘denied First Class student’, who should have graduated with First Class. They’ve been married for 8 years in Germany with two beautiful kids, Akosua and Kobby. The couple strongly attach a very significant meaning to sex; hence their sex life has been a memorable and remarkable experience of which I believe even on their death bed, that’s what would be on their mind before leaving earth. The most important part of their sex life is how both of them define it.
Ama thinks sex should give life meaning whiles Edem believes that sex should add up to experiences in life and should be exciting. Every sex positions they created has a link to life experiences, whether being business, family, or even religion. But the most surprising part of it is that, Ama prefers to have sex during her menstrual period. That’s weird right? No I don’t think so. As far as Edem also enjoys it, and has a meaning to their life, I don’t think it’s weird. Because in their eyes is not weird, but from another person’s eye who is not even part of their family, it is. I believe that’s what has even sustained their marriage all these years. You know something? Sometimes in life, you do what you think can have positive sustainable effects on you even though society thinks it’s weird.
The couple ensure that, on each day of Ama’s 7-day menstrual period, they have sex, whether a stream of blood is flowing or not. I couldn’t believe it until I met Edem who took his time to explain the meaning of the act to me. There are scientific researches supporting sex during menstruation but that’s not the focus of this article. For me is not the sex during menstruation but the meaning attached to it of which the couple hold dearly. The couple defines blood during menstruation as pains, suffering, challenges, tough moment, hard times, disappointments, frustrations, failures, regrets, you can continue the list with all the unpleasant situations in life. And sex is defined as enjoyment, happiness, joy, ecstasy, excitement, success, hope, amazing moments, achievements, here too same, you can continue with pleasant situations in life you can think of.

In life, you need ‘blood with Sex’ experiences to have a fully fulfilled life. The combination of pains or challenges with enjoyment or achievements makes life an exciting journey. Without this ‘combo’ expect a boring life. I believe Ama and Edem want to have an exciting sex, a reason for their blood with sex act. A combination of ‘blood with Sex’ is something no one can avoid in life irrespective of your background or religious affiliation. What you have to do is to just enjoy both on the journey and embrace yourself for the ‘orgasm’. As you begin a new year, remember that there is always orgasm at the end of sex and laughter at the end of pains. The outcome should be your prime focus. What you shouldn’t ever forget is that ‘Blood with Sex’ is just a process we go through to have a memorable and well lived life. Not just that but to have sustainable positive effects like Ama and Edem do. I know you have made some New Year resolutions of which most them consists of the ‘Sex’ part. Yeah, I definitely know that because no one wants ‘blood’ in life.
