Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement with WAFA’s Prosper Narteh Ogum to become their head coach, according to sources.
Reports claims that, Prosper will announce his departure from WAFA in the coming weeks before penning down a contract with the Kumasi based club Kotoko.
Management and fans has fallen out with Barreto who hasn’t been back from holidays in Portugal.
Barreto was appointed in the middle of last season and failed to a win trophy as the Porcupine Warriors lost the Ghana Premier League to Hearts of Oak and suffered a quarter-final exit in the MTN FA Cup.
According to sources reaching Ghana Africa News, the current technical team will be dissolve in order to allow Prosper Narteh to appoint his own backroom.
Prosper Nartey guided WAFA to a third-place finish in the just ended Ghana Premier League season accumulating 56 points.
Dr Narteh is currently on national duty with the Black Stars B at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence, Prampram.
